With the return of Josh Sopchak (Sr) to the line-up, the Hilltoppers were able to run  away with the Trumbull D1 District Championship.  Steven Zombory (Sr) led the Hilltoppers with a 3rd place individual finish.  Josh was right behind him in 4th place.  Josh Metzung (So) ran a strong 2nd half to finish 10th.  Jacob Krebs (Sr) finished hard to end up right behind Josh in 11th place.  Matt Morris (Jr) rounded out the scorers in 26th place.  Ryan Connolly (So) ran an outstanding race to get in before Solon's (2nd place team) 4th  man.  Freshman Nate Kawalec, was our final runner in 43rd place.

This is the first District Title for the boys since 2006.

To qualify for the State Championship, the team will need to finish in the top 4, a tall order with 4 of the top 12 teams in the state in the race.  However, if we run well and any of those teams have a hiccup anything can happen!
