In Chardon Boys CC first trip to the Tiffin Cross Country Carnival in more than 10 years, the varsity placed 5th among 41 teams in the field. Nick Elswick won the overall individual title in 15:12.90. 2nd place the elite field was nearly 20 seconds behind him.
In the varsity B race which is used by weaker teams and the JV teams of stronger teams, our JV squad placed 8th among 30 teams in the race. Efforts in that race were led by Jimmy Uhland in 18:18.23
The boys race next Saturday afternoon at Boardman's Spartan Invitational. This will feature a great match up between Nick Elswick and Mark Hadley who have had the fastest times in the state for the last two weeks in a row. They also finished 2-3 at last spring's 3200m state championship.
