The Hilltopper ladies put all 7 of their varsity runners in the top 20 places at Saturday's U-Wanna-Come-Back Invitational at Madison to finish 2nd overall to Ashtabula Edgewood, the state's #7 ranked team in Division II. The Chardon crew did bring home the trophy for the D-I team champoonship as they easily outdistanced Riverside by 59 points.
Denali Selent picked up her 2nd invitational win of the year, running away with the title with a time of 18:49, tweny-three seconds ahead of second place. Season best times and personal records continued to fall with Mila Stropkay (SB), Andi Mann, Lilli Livengood (PR), and Maria Peters (PR) rounding out the scoring. Jessica Krebs (SB) and Cassidy Robinson closed out the varsity effort as all 7 brought home medals for their efforts.
Other runners logging personal records were Kenzie Morris, Kat Schultz, and Emily Browne while season best times were notched by Tess Lannon and Chloe Budd.
The Toppers return to action on Saturday at the Legends Meet at the Trumbull Counrty Fairgrounds.
